Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is one of the hardest parts of being a pet owner. At HomewardVet, we’re here to support you through every step of this emotional process with compassion, respect, and care

When you and our veterinarian decide it’s time to focus on your pet’s comfort, we offer in-home hospice care designed to maintain their quality of life for as long as possible. Our goal is to keep your pet comfortable, pain-free, and surrounded by the people who love them most. We’ll work with you to manage pain, nutrition, and mobility while ensuring your pet’s final days are spent peacefully at home.
When the time comes, we provide gentle, in-home euthanasia so your pet can pass peacefully in a familiar, loving environment. We understand that sometimes this decision comes unexpectedly, so while we do our best to schedule appointments, we encourage you to call for guidance if you need last-minute support. During the visit, our veterinarian will take time to explain each step, answer your questions, and ensure your pet is relaxed and comfortable. A light sedative is given first to help them drift into a calm, restful state before the final medication is administered. You are welcome to be present for the entire process if you wish.
Each market at HomewardVet partners with a local pet cremation company to provide aftercare that is handled with dignity and respect. We’re here to support your decision, whether you choose private cremation, communal cremation, or a home burial.
While we help families through this process often, we also understand the deep love and heartbreak that comes with losing a pet. Every member of our team has been in your shoes, and we’re here to make this experience as gentle and comforting as possible, for both you and your pet.
